Women's Soccer team donates 700$ to cancer awareness

ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Winthrop women's soccer team held a successful breast cancer awareness event this past Friday night at the Winthrop weight room and treadmills.
The Lady Eagles ran a combined 100 miles on the treadmills and finished with an estimated $1400 raised. The team will donate $700 to the Breast Cancer program.
"I am proud of our player's efforts to raise the money as well as the work on the treadmills," said Winthrop head Melissa Heinz.
