2008 Homecoming King and Queen crowned at Saturday's game

Trell Thomas and Jurée Capers smile for cameras after being chosen as this year's Homecoming King and Queen from a court of nine Winthrop students.
Thomas said becoming king was a "humbling experience," and that he now wants to focus on being a positive role model. He is president of the National Pan-Hellenic Council at Winthrop and vice president of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.
Capers said she is thankful for the votes, love and support. She is a Winthrop Ambassador, S.O.A.R. member and Orientation Assistant.
