3/2 SIMPLE ASSAULT
Thomson Hall
A female student was leaving the front lobby area of Thomson Hall when a male student came up behind her and grinded his pelvic area against her. He apologized, ran away, and saw her later that night.
The female student made him go to the campus police department and give his version of the story. He admitted that he came up behind her and began to do a seductive dance move, however, he did not believe he made bodily contact with her. If he did, he said he didn't not do it intentionally.
The two students had a phone conversation, under the officer's supervision, during which the male apologized to the female for his behavior. She accepted his apology.
No charges have been pressed, but the female is considering a restraining order at a later time. She said she didn't want to think about it.
