Step show gets to steppin' March 1

This year's National Pan-Hellenic Council Step Show will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday in Byrnes Auditorium. Doors open at 6.
Tickets will be on sale for $10 during lunch hours, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and dinner hours, 4 to 7 p.m., through Friday at East Thomson Lounge and Dinkins Student Center. Cost is $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

Breakfast for builds

Habitat for Humanity will host an Applebee's Breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. March 1 at the Dave Lyle Boulevard location. Tickets are $6, and $5 benefits Habitat. For more information, e-mail Nadine Riffel at riffeln2@winthrop.edu.


Pop your tab for
philanthropy

Alpha Delta Pi will sponsor a soda drive from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in front of Byrnes.
The sorority will give away sodas to students in exchange for the pop tabs on the cans, which the sorority will donate to its philanthropy, the Ronald McDonald House.

Films and talk

Amnesty International and Socialist Student Union will host the following films and discussions (cultural event status pending):

- "The Corporation," a film in which 40 CEOs and top-level executives from a range of industries (including oil, pharmeceutical and advertising) will be shown from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday in Owens G02. Jennifer Leigh Disney, political science professor, will a lead discussion afterwards.

- "Oil, Politics and Regime Change in Iran (retro edition)" will be shown at 8 p.m. March 4 in Owens G01. Gregg Starrett, a professor at UNC-Charlotte, will lead discussion on Iran afterwards.

- "Debt of our Dictators," a film about global debt relief, will be shown at 7 p.m. March 5 in Owens G02. Ginger Williams, political science professor, will lead discussion on how citizens can take action on the global debt in relation to the Jubilee Act.


Opportunities for
educators

NABSE will sponsor an Educator's Round Table event at 6 p.m. March 12 in Withers 207.
Opportunities include networking; asking first-year teachers, principals and guidance counselors about their jobs; interviewing; building resumes and more.
