If you enjoyed toe tapping drum cadences in the movie "Drumline", then you won't want to miss this event.

The Atlanta Drumline is coming to Winthrop's campus to amaze students with their custom arrangements and phenomenal sound.

According to the group's official Website, "From the time the drumline enters the performance arena, you know that you are here for a treat!"

Senior sociology major and Dinkins Student Union President, Brandy Hughes is ecstatic at that fact that the Atlanta Drumline will be performing at Winthrop.

"I haven't seen anything like it at Winthrop before and I am excited to see how the audience responds and how their response will effect the show, " Hughes said.

Audiences can also come and get a laugh as comedian Owen Smith opens the show.

Smith has been featured on Comedy Central and BET's Comic View.

The show is this Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. in Byrnes Auditorium.

Admission is $5 for students and is an approved cultural event.
